Is it funny that I feel like people aren't always being real unless they're weird?
There's a quote that says something like..there are tons of normal people out there, until you get to know them.
Today I was in class and I decided to write down names of family / friends / strangers that I wanted to pray for. After I had filled up a page, it occured to me..I am not going to think of one person who doesn't need to be prayed for..each person I thought of was struggling with something, in the middle of some big decision making, or had been hit with some hard times lately.
And then I had that epiphany that has to come like every single week:
Oh yeah, we're all broken, I forgot!
Suchhh beauty in brokenness.
p.s..it should be noted that in the first photo, melanie and i have turkey carcasses in our mouths. they were heavy.
If I had a dime for every time you said 'turkey carcasses"...

ReplyDeleteI have been told by people who really know me that I am "real", but I think that is because when I feel really comfortable around someone, my weirdness shines through. Who doesn't love to be around someone who loves to laugh and make fun at themselves and be goofy? Great blog.
